Jamey Johnson

Jamey Johnson is an acclaimed American country music singer-songwriter, widely regarded as one of the greatest of his generation for preserving classic country traditions while appealing to fans of Americana, rock, and beyond.

Born on July 14, 1975, in Enterprise, Alabama (and raised in Montgomery), he’s now 50 years old. He moved to Nashville around 2000 and signed with BNA Records in 2005. His breakthrough came with the 2008 platinum album That Lonesome Song, featuring hits like “In Color” (which won Song of the Year from both the ACM and CMA). He’s also penned major songs for others, including George Strait’s “Give It Away.” Johnson is a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry and has earned 10 Grammy nominations.
